How do we get to Penticton?
Driving:
- From Vancouver, we are about 5 hours drive via two possible routes:
- Highway 1 east to Hope, then Highway 3 to Keremeos, Highway 3A to Kaleden, and then Highway 97 north to Penticton.
- Highway 1 East to Hope, then Highway 5 (the Coquihalla Highway) to Merrit, then Highway 97C (the Connector) to Peachland, and then south on Highway 97 to Penticton.
- From Calgary it is about 8 hours, you would take Highway 1 West to Sicamous, then 97A to just before Enderby, then south on Highway 97 through Kelowna and down to Penticton.
- From the United States, there are various routes to connect to Highway 1, or you can come up through Oroville Washington, via US Highway 97.
Flying in:
- Penticton Airport has connections daily from Vancouver (via Pacific Coastal Airlines, a 1-hour flight) or Calgary (via Westjet, also a 1-hour flight).
- You can also fly into the Kelowna Airport, which has international and national connections. However, it is about an hour drive from the airport to Penticton, and there is not great transit available. Renting a car at the airport would likely be the cheapest and best method if you chose this route.
